Beautiful Kaeng Krachan Dam and National Park, Hua Hin


Kaeng Krachan Dam

Kaeng Krachan Dam: after 30 kilometers from Hua Hin by Highway No. 4 a turn is made at Km. 186-187 for the side road leading west to the dam, driving another 30 kilo-meters. The road leads to Kaeng Krachan Dam, and continues for another eight kilometers beyond to reach the Kaeng Krachan National Park office.

Kaeng Krachan National Park: This is the most extensive national park in Thailand occupying an area of 2,915 square kilometers or 1.8 million rai. Its general characteristic is that it is a year round green jungle. The lake area occupies an approximate site of 45 square kilometers and is the origin of many southern rivers - an excellent picnic spot with resort facilities.
